OurWhisky opens Headshot Clinic with Benriach

Moa Reynolds, professional Scotland based photographer

The OurWhisky Foundation has partnered with Benriach Scotch single malt to provide its first free Headshot Clinic for women and non-binary people working in the whisky industry.

Hosted at the Dowan’s Hotel on Sunday 5th May during the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, the clinic will offer individuals the chance to have professional headshots taken to help boost their careers.

The clinic will provide 12 slots for individuals to book in for a session with photographer Moa Reynolds, a current mentee with the OurWhisky Foundation.

Reynolds, who is widely known within the industry for her photography under the handle @swedishwhiskygirl, said: "Having a professional headshot is an intriguing way of standing out in a crowd. It’s a great tool to show a glimpse of your personality and communicates professionalism and credibility.”

She also has some advice for those successful in booking a slot at the headshot clinic: “Don’t be afraid to show a little bit of YOU in these photos. A pop of colour, an enthusiastic smile or swirling a dram – or maybe all of the above?”

Charlotte Coyle, brand ambassador for Benriach, said: “We’re proud to support the OurWhisky Foundation’s first Headshot Clinic during the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.

“In the age of social media and LinkedIn, professional headshots can really help boost women’s public profiles and in turn have a positive impact on their careers. As a corporate partner for the Foundation we are excited to continue our support of their vital work.”

The OurWhisky Foundation headshot clinic will be open from 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm, with slots available every half hour.

To book a slot, please email info@ourwhiskyfoundation.org with your preferred time(s), job role and contact phone number.

As we expect an overwhelming number of requests, names will be selected at random on Monday 29th April. Unsuccessful enquiries will be added to a waiting list and contacted should a slot become available.

The OurWhisky Foundation is also hosting the Spirit of Speyside’s closing party at the Dowan’s Hotel on Sunday 5th May. Trade tickets are still available here.
