OurWhisky Foundation named BCB Education Partner

The OurWhisky Foundation is joining Bar Convent Berlin (BCB) as its official Education Partner for 2024.

The Foundation will host the bar show’s ‘Whisk(e)y Embassy’, a dedicated space delivering a programme of educational whisky seminars.

With whisky named the official Spirit of Honour at this year’s show, the OurWhisky Foundation will create a comprehensive programme of educational seminars highlighting whisky’s breadth of diversity, both in terms of geographical origins and flavour.

Seminars will cover a range of topics, including category innovations, technical 101s, cocktail applications and issues relating to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Becky Paskin, founder of the OurWhisky Foundation, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to play an active part in BCB and to be able to use this great platform to draw attention to our organisation and to the subject of whisky.

“We hope to welcome all BCB visitors to our Education Area to enhance their education and experience of this wonderful spirit and ignite their love of whisky.”

The ‘Whisk(e)y Embassy’ will also feature an on-site whisky bar hosted by the all-female team behind Hamburg’s Collab Bar.

The acclaimed bar show, which runs 14-16 October at Berlin’s Exhibition Centre, attracts over 12,000 visitors from across the global drinks industry.

Brands interested in sponsoring a seminar should contact OurWhisky Foundation's marketing and partnerships manager, Quyen Ha quyen@ourwhiskyfoundation.org.
